ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Ryan, a 3D Environment Artist and 3D Modeller with a passion for creating immersive, visually engaging worlds that bring games to life.
I graduated from Algonquin College's Advanced Game Development program, where I developed a strong foundation in environment creation, 3D modelling, level building, and game development workflows. Since then, I have continued to expand my skills through personal projects, game jams, indie collaborations, and ongoing learning within the ever-evolving game industry.
My primary tools include Unreal Engine 5, Blender, and Substance Painter, allowing me to create game-ready assets and environments from concept to implementation. I enjoy the entire creative process, from transforming simple sketches and ideas into detailed 3D scenes to building immersive spaces that support gameplay, storytelling, and player exploration.
For more than 18 years, video games have been a significant source of inspiration in my life. Exploring a wide variety of genres and platforms has given me a deep appreciation for environmental storytelling, level design, and the impact that well-crafted worlds have on player engagement. This passion drives me to create environments that are not only visually appealing but also meaningful and memorable.
I am also an active member of the gaming community, having participated in beta testing for titles such as Rust, 7 Days to Die, and Level Zero: Extraction for over a decade. Through this experience, I have developed strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of how quality, usability, and player experience contribute to a successful game.
My goal is to join a collaborative development team where I can continue growing as an Environment Artist while contributing high-quality environments, assets, and world-building experiences that enhance gameplay and immerse players in memorable worlds.
